Utah Urology Education Program

To address the growing need for urological care and education among primary care providers, underserved patients, parents and their communities, IVUmed is developing publications detailing the most common urological conditions that affect children, women and men. The first booklet will be the pediatric edition, which will assist medical providers in the diagnosis and care of Utah's enormous pediatric population. IVUmed has also developed a speakers bureau giving presentations in community health centers, local departments of health, schools and clinics to help educate the community on urological conditions that are very common but often undiagnosed or improperly treated. While the speakers bureau will travel to local sites to educate, distance learning technology will be used to assist in making this valuable information available to people throughout the state.
